Winter Wonderland

We got blasted with some winter weather this year! Andrew measured 14" at our house which is AMAZING. I couldn't get to work on Thursday because the road on the spit was closed. Our neighborhood still hasn't been plowed which means stuck motorists on our streets. I've been working 12 hour shifts day after day due to all the weather-related collisions. Lots of people unaccustomed driving in snow + feeling too invincible in their SUVs = a whole lotta dispatching.

Because I Can

I'm the kind of mom that Arlie will cringe at being related to when she gets older. Hahaha! These pictures are being printed onto t-shirts as we speak.

Close encounters. . .

She was a little more interested in daddy at first.

Ooooh. Lots of long hair to pull - right Arlie?

Ho ho ho! The first visit with Santa is a success.

Soft Bed

I had just gotten out of the shower and was greeted by a confused/anxious Bailey. He led me to the bedroom and when I saw what was causing his distress I had to laugh. I think Arlie might have the same pet allergies as Andrew because her eyes puffed up all red after this nap so I'll have to cut any future snoozes in the doggie bed short. I'm sure Bailey will be happy.

Drinking Water from a Straw

Arlie had a little problem actually getting the water up and out of the straw but she sure looked like she knew what she was doing.

Leavenworth Christmas Tree Lighting

Arlie looks like she's pretty over it.
There were thousands of people there for the Christmas tree lighting. The two longest lines in town were for a store that sells crazy hats (seriously, it snaked across the road) and for of course, the women's bathroom.

I love my family.

After the crowd counted down from ten all the Christmas lights in the town lit up.
