We checked out Northwest Trek today. We took the tram ride through the park and then walked through some of the smaller animal exhibits. I can't believe how stupidly excited I got over seeing animals in this park that we see occasionally in the wild. Although I will admit this is the closest I've even gotten to a live elk in my life. The above picture is a little deceptive. That elk was RIGHT THERE. We could have patted him on the nose from our seats. Arlie's fascinated by anything that walks on four legs right now so I think she enjoyed herself too.
