Andrew and I snuck off to Vegas (while Andi and Arlie stayed with Aunties Heather and Shannon) and re-eloped for our 5 year anniversary.
I decided this time, instead of a dog leash in my hand I wanted an actual bouquet. We purchased flowers at a grocery store on the trip there and wrapped the stems in a cut up gift bag. We got dressed in the bathrooms at the Stratosphere as a nice little nod to the place we stayed when we originally eloped. I even did my make-up in the Stratosphere parking garage.
We had planned on a bigger event, with friends and family attending, but when that fell through we decided to do the cheesiest Vegas wedding we could think of. Hence, the drive-through vow renewal. Which was surprisingly touching and a nice affirmation of the love and commitment we feel for each other. Both of us teared up at some point during the ceremony. Helping things was our very sincere minister.
Then it was time for photos. Fernando, our nice photographer with the tiniest feet clad in cowboy boots, got us out of the vehicle and into picture taking mode. He was very specific in what poses we were to adopt. See if you can find:
The Sunlight Squint
The Awkward Handshake
The Awkward Woo
Awesomest Shoes Ever (heheh just kidding. Sort of)
