We thought we'd try our hands at gold panning at Bertha Creek, a supposedly good place to find some gold. Unfortunately all we had were some vague instructions from the Alaska app, no cell service, and not a single area map to be found.
We didn't find the "right" area but we did find a few flakes and we had loads of fun. Now we know where to go next time!
