Alaskan Skies

This post's a little different, no humans. It's so pretty here and the skies are no exception. I'm not sure what it is (Andrew thinks it's because the trees aren't as tall, I think there must be something different about the weather pattern) but whatever it is - it's spectacular.

Sunrises and Sunsets

I haven't edited any of the sunrise or sunset photos in any way other than cropping, and all of them are taken from our porch or deck. Pretty lucky, huh?

The Night Sky

I've been getting better at taking the camera off of "manual" mode and learning how to really use it. Just in time to get pictures of the Northern Lights, the eclipse, and stars.

The night I was finally able to capture the Northern Lights it was hazy with an almost full moon. I thought I might be disappointed but the result was kind of dream-like.
